Hey, new here & im trying to alkalize my body.
The first time i tried spirulina & barley grass in some water i felt so incredible i knew that i had to go green
So...my diet at the moment consists of (roughly)
Morning Smoothie: Banana Cacao Powder (raw) Tropical fruit juice Barley grass Spirulina Bee Pollen (i used to use blueberries until i heard they were v/acidic)
After workout smoothie: Cucumber Barley Grass Spirulina Apple juice Water
I usually have an all raw food bar after workout aswell that is made of dates, raisins, oats, soya etc...
Lunch: (big salad) Spinach Kale Watercress Cucumber Sweet Peppers (dressing: olive oil, hemp oil, lemon & mustard)
Dinner: Spelt Pasta Pasta Sauce (tomatoe based) White Fish or Beans
I also snack on a trail mix of almonds, pine nuts, pumkin & sunflower seeds
Im worried that the fruit juice in my smoothies takes away from the benefits of the barley grass & spirulina? Also is the pasta & fish/beans really that bad? If so, what else could i eat to make up some carbs & protein in an alkaline way?
So far from acid/alkaline charts ive learned that the pasta, fish, beans & maybe some of the fruit is acidic?
I also drink red grape juice, is this okay? As all the other dark red fruits are high on the acidic charts...im also concerned about the raw cacao powder.
Id really appreciate some help as im serious about getting alkalized
Thanks!
