The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles provides a process for filing a complaint with the VDMP against the department or one of its employees. The steps are as follows:


 



  1. Download and complete the Customer Complaint Form.


 



  1. Include as much detail as possible in your description of the problem, including dates, times, and locations, as well as the name of any employees involved.


 



  1. Submit the completed form to the address listed on the form, or email it to DMV Customer Relations at dmvcustomerrelations@dmv.virginia.gov.


 


You will receive a response to your complaint within 30 days. If you have any questions about the complaint process, you can contact the DMV Customer Relations office at 804-497-7100.
