The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles provides a process for filing a complaint with the VDMP against the department or one of its employees. The steps are as follows:
- Download and complete the Customer Complaint Form.
- Include as much detail as possible in your description of the problem, including dates, times, and locations, as well as the name of any employees involved.
- Submit the completed form to the address listed on the form, or email it to DMV Customer Relations at dmvcustomerrelations@dmv.virginia.gov.
You will receive a response to your complaint within 30 days. If you have any questions about the complaint process, you can contact the DMV Customer Relations office at 804-497-7100.
